Worker: new version on 10th anniversary

A new version of worker, a file manager for the X Window System, has been released today. Exactly 10 years after the first public version became available. As a little present worker now allows to use tabs in the directory view, like in browsers. Nice!

Link to the release announcement. 2.17.2 also is available in Gentoos Portage Tree as of … well … now ;)

Oh my god, that’s ugly, lol. Reminds of my dreadful CDE days… ;P

It’s fast, small, and doesn’t crash. That’s not ugly, that’s beautiful.

if you don’t care about human input, why bother the tabs at all… However it’s always nice to see open projects, despite different levels of attention on the usability and appearance.
